To be confessed out loud in prayer as the Spirit leads you:
Because I dwell in the secret place of the Most High, I shall abide under the shadow of the ALL-Mighty. Because I dwell under the defense of the Most High, under the protection of the Most High, I lodge in the shelter of the God of heaven. Because I live in the secret shelter of the Most High I lodge in the shadow of the Almighty, I live as a ward of the Most High and I shall repose, sleep, be in comfort, as I am under the protection of the Almighty. Because I dwell in the secret place of the Most High I remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty, whose power no foe can withstand.
2. I will say of You Lord, You are my refuge and my fortress: my God; in You will I trust. I will say to Jehovah, O my refuge and fortress, You are my sheltering haven; my God whom I trust.
3. SURELY…SURELY…SURELY… He SHALL deliver me from the snare of the fowler, He it is who will rescue me from EVERY treacherous lure, CERTAINLY…it is He who rescues me from the hunter’s trap. And from the noisome pestilence, And from the deadly pestilence, destructive pestilence, deadly epidemic, and keeps me safe from wasting disease.
4. He shall cover me with His feathers, and under His wings shall I snuggle up and trust, He covers me with His pinions, and under His wings I take refuge. He safeguards me with His strength, and I find shelter within His protecting power. His truth is my shield and buckler, my shield and armor, His truth encompasses me with armor, His faithfulness is a shield and buckler, His fidelity is my assurance of security, His faithful promises are my armor.
5. I refuse to be afraid of the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; I refuse to be afraid of the dread of night, I need not fear the terrors of the night nor arrows flying in the day, I do not need to be afraid of any nocturnal terror, nor of any danger that is abroad in daylight,
6. Neither am I afraid of the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. I need not fear plague stalking in the dark, nor sudden death at noon, neither the plague that stalks at dead of night, nor the epidemic which devastates at midday, nor the plague that lurks in the darkness, nor the calamity that spreads havoc at noontime. I am not afraid!
7. A thousand shall fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand; but it shall not come near me, hundreds may fall beside me, thousands at my right hand, but the plague will never reach me, Though a thousand fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand, I myself will remain unscathed.
8. Only with my eyes will I behold and see the reward of the wicked. I have only to look on and see how evil men are punished, I will but gaze with my eyes and see the reward of the wicked, I will need only to take careful notice to see how the wicked are punished, I will merely see it with my eyes and witness the sinners reward, rather, my eyes shall look about me and see the reward of sinners, Only a spectator shall I be, myself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High, as I witness the reward of the wicked.
9. Because I have made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the Most High, my habitation,
10. There shall no evil befall me, neither shall any plague come near my dwelling. Because I have made Yahweh my refuge, The Most High have I made my dwelling place, There shall not be sent unto me misfortune, nor shall plague come near into my tent, my body nor my house, no evil shall befall me, no scourge comes near my tent, no disaster will befall me, nor calamity come near my tent, Because I have made the Lord my shelter, and the Most High my protection, no evil will overwhelm me; no plague shall approach my dwelling,
11. For He shall give His angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways, His messengers will He charge concerning me, to keep me in all my ways, For He puts me under His angels’ charge, to guard me wherever I go, For He gives His angels orders regarding me, to protect me wherever I go.
12. They shall bear me up in their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone. By their power they will uphold me, lest I should even injure my foot on a stone.
13. I tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon I trample under feet. I trample on young lion and crocodile, I tread upon the lion and asp, the young lion and the serpent shall I trample under feet, I can walk over reptiles and cobras, trampling on lions and on dragons, I tread upon the asp and the viper, I trample down the lion and the dragon,
14. Because I set my love upon Him, therefore He delivers me, Because I cleave to Him in love, and He cleaves to me in love, He delivers me, Because I have anchored my love in Him, You will deliver me, Because I cling to You, You will deliver me, You will set me on high, because I have known your Name and You have known my name, Thank you that you Lord lift me beyond danger, for You know my name and I know You by Your name, Thank You that You protect me, because I know Your Name, and You know mine, because I acknowledge His name, from Him I shall have protection.
15. I will call upon you and You will answer me, when I call to Him, He answers me, You are with me in trouble, You deliver me and honor me, You are with me in hardship, you deliver me and honor me, in affliction He is at my side, to bring me safety and honor.
16. With long life you satisfy me and show me your salvation. You will satisfy me with long life, and let me see your saving care, I have the satisfaction of a long life, and you shall let me participate in your salvation, You give me life, long and full, and show me how you can save!
