Hindu Religion Holds Masses in Bondage
This weekend we ministered in Grace Gospel Church, one of the largest churches in Bangalore, India. Jessica and I began early in the morning and ministered for over eleven hours straight.
The pastor told me that 99% of his church is composed of former Hindus. Many of them have only recently become followers of Jesus. It was such a privilege to minister to these new believers.
Hinduism has held the nation of India in bondage for many centuries It is the third largest religion in the world (after Christianity and Islam) and it claims to be the oldest religion with roots going back thousands of years.
It is said there are over 300 million gods in the Hindu religion. As we drove through the streets of Bangalore, we saw temples with thousands of idols. People were bowing down to worship the idols...
It is these people...trapped in a powerless religion...that we have come to tell about Jesus.

The Three Greatest Miracles in the Bible
Since many of the people we are ministering to are new Christians, we focus on the simple, yet powerful basics of the Gospel.
I shared about the "3 Greatest Miracles in the Bible"
Miracle #1: God Created YOU! "In the beginning God created the heavens, and the earth..." Everything God created has a purpose. The birds were made to fly...the fish were made to swim...and you were created to be God's friend. Adam and Eve walked with God and talked with God...but then they sinned...and were separated from God.
Miracle #2: God Saved YOU! "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Jesus came to earth and walked with us and talked with us. He died on the cross for our sins...and rose from the dead. If you will call on Jesus, you will be saved from sin...saved from sickness...saved from poverty...and saved from hell!
Miracle #3: God Empowered YOU! "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you." The Holy Spirit fills us with his boldness to tell others about Jesus. Once more, God walks with us and talks with us and gives us the ability to be a witness.
These three great miracles represent the three greatest events in the Bible.
Creation
Calvary
Pentecost
At Creation, we see God the Father at work. At Calvary, we see God the Son at work. And at Pentecost, we see God the Holy Spirit at work.
These three miracles are the greatest miracles God has done for each believer. God created us! God saved us! God empowered us!
Soul Winning Institute
The best way for our ministry to be effective is to train local believers to be soul winners.
So, we arranged to hold a meeting for the leadership of Grace Gospel Church. Over sixty key cell group leaders, elders, and pastors gathered together for a special session on soul winning.
Jessica and I taught on the "7 Reasons to be a Soul Winner."
The leaders were fired up to evangelize the lost.
Tomorrow, we drive eight hours to the village area where our crusade will begin on Wednesday. Thank you for praying for us!
