I truly marvel when I see what God has done in the past couple of years and I give thanks to our God who has gone before us here in Guyana.
Our YWAM campus is busy and filled with people, our school is up and running and we have already outgrown our housing. I never thought we'd come so far so fast and I can only thank the One who makes it possible.
We have five full time staff plus Beeno's son, two part time staff for five months, seven students and five kids on our campus. This makes 19!
Our DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL has begun!!! Praise God it is happening!
Who would have ever thought two years ago that a school would be starting.
Two families from Guyana (Beeno's son Winston and his family and an Akawioh family, Gershom and Farida originally from Chinoweing/ Imbaiamadai), one family from Suriname and a single girl from Alaska make up our Parika DTS. We also have an amazing line up of speakers coming to share with us and teach.
MISSIONS CONFERENCE On Aug 31st - September 11th, I flew to Tampa, Florida and participated in an awesome Mission conference at Faith International Fellowship. Pastor Chuck and his church have an incredible heart for missions and I was privileged to share with the church all that God is doing in Guyana and also received from the rich teachings and testimonies shared. I met some wonderful people who received me like family and showed me around Tampa. Thanks to Rick and Marge for hosting me and treated me like family! I was also thankful for Walmart!! (smile)
CONSTRUCTION TEAMS Teams are coming to us! In fact both local and foreign teams are asking to come! We hosted two local church groups who helped us to lay our floor for our new building. Four men from Jamaica, skilled construction workers, came for a week and saw 21 pillars erected. They did an amazing job in a short space of time working from early morning til sun down.
As we pour our physical foundation, God reminds us also to lay our spiritual foundations as well! We had a youth group that visited write a foundational value they desired to have in their own life, into the newly poured cement as a symbolic act of laying both physical and spiritual foundations.
Last evening at a joint prayer meeting with the local churches, one of the pastors approached me and told me his church would like to come quarterly and help us build.
RAIN! Open the flood gates of heaven and let it rain!
It's the dry season and we depend on rain water as our main supply! As we pray, God supplies the rain, just when we need it! Thanks to those of you who prayed! The rain seems to come just at the right time! Keep on praying!
HOLIDAY TIME Can you believe it's almost been two years since I've taken my break? Time flies. Since the passing of Pastor Philbert and my entering back into the role of director here in Guyana, I have not been able to take my holidays for the past two years. Now with our new capable staff members I'm able to get away. I will be traveling back to Canada October 18th until November 27th to visit my family, friends and church. I look forward to this break, to step back and be refreshed without thinking of cement and concrete blocks!
THANKFULNESS & JOY AND AN OVERWHELMING SENSE OF GOD'S FAVOR AND PRESENCE fill my heart. I'm thankful for people like you who pray for us and encourage us. We've received some generous financial blessings that have helped make this ministry and growth possible. You have partnered with us and I'm ever mindful of this. I thank God for you, I thank God for each donation that comes in enabling us to continue building.
What an amazing season this has been and I become genuinely overwhelmed with the goodness of God towards us, a year of favor.
Thanks for being a part of this.
Here's a condensed version of things to be thankful!

12.) We receive rain just at the right time, filling our water tanks.
13.) An old friend stopped by and told me he is starting a sawmill in Parika, if we ever needed wood for building they would give us 'kingdom prices'! Thanks Lord!
