For our Haiti crusade, we formed a team of four evangelists who are working together to impact the city
of Cape Haitian. Daniel King from Tulsa, OK, Dominic Russo from Detroit, MI, Jack Myers from Chicago, IL,
and Per Hyldgaard from Denmark joined forces together to make this crusade happen. Each has contributed
money, resources, and labor. Each night a different evangelist preaches.
Jesus is coming soon and in these last days God wants the body of Christ to work together. The day of the
superstar minister is over. We must leave our logos and egos at the door if we want to participate in the
end-time harvest of souls. It is amazing what you can accomplish when you do not care who gets the credit.
God has not called us to independence but to interdependance.
The word T.E.A.M. is an acronym which means Together Everyone Achieves Miracles. Together we can accomplish
far more than one can do alone. 1+1 does not = 2...when you add 1 and 1 together you get 11. One can put a
thousand to flight, but two can set ten thousand demons on the run.
This year I visited Israel and heard a sad story. Three major denominations share the famous "Church of
the Holy Sepulcher." But, for over one hundred years, the churches have fought over who gets to keep the
key to the church. To solve the fighting a Muslim family volunteered to guard the key. Now, for more than
a century, the key to one of the holiest sites in Christendom has been in the hands of a Muslim family simply
because there is no unity among the churches.
It is time for the body of Christ to work together. In many cities, a few churches refuse to participate
in our crusades simply because they do not like the other churches who are working with us. Some evangelists
have a similar attitude and refuse to work with other evangelists. But, by joining hands together our team
is a visible demonstration of the value of working together. We are like farmers who have linked our
combines together and are reaping a harvest before it is lost.
I believe that in the days to come, we will see much more of this type of cooperation in the body of
Christ. The job is much bigger then any one of us. We need each other!
Catholic Archbishop Greets Team
Our crusade is in the central plaza of Cape Haitian directly in front of a large Catholic church. On
Wednesday, the Archbishop in charge of the Cathedral called us and asked for a meeting with our team
of evangelists. When we entered his office, he explained that at first, he was wary of our presence in
the city. But from his bedroom for the first two nights of the crusade he could not help but hear us
preach as our sound system blasted the messages. He told us, "I like what you are saying."
Our team explained we are here to lift up Jesus. The Archbishop told us that is the same goal he has and
he graciously welcomed us and thanked us for coming.
We finished our meeting by praying the Lord's Prayer together. It reminded me of what it will be like
in heaven when people from every branch of Christianity will worship before the throne together.
I believe it is better to build bridges of friendship rather than walls of separation.
Thank-you!!!
Thank you so much, partners and friends, for making this Haiti crusade possible.
