Greetings Saints,
Once again we had a wonderful time at our annual
women's conference. The purpose of this conference was
to minister to the needs and concerns of women.
Our theme this year was "Healing for the Broken
Heart. Our own Pastor James, did an excellent job of
teaching that "God heals the broken heart, and how to
receive that healing.
On any Sunday morning, the women in most
congregations might look well-dressed, happy and
smiling on the outside. But on the inside, many of
them have broken hearts that hide secret pain and beg
for help.
So many of today's Christian women are
hurting. Weighed down with heavy responsibilities for
family, home, and career, she also often deals with
personal pain. Most of the time she suffers in
silence. They crave help, relief, healing and biblical
direction from their church.
We are to educate ourselves on the ways that women
today are hurting. Several women in the church today
have had abortions, and are still suffering from
guilt, anxiety, and depression. One out of every five
women in the church is enduring some kind of spousal
abuse in her home. Be it physical, verbal, or
emotional. Did you know that one out of every four
women in our churches has experienced childhood sexual
abuse by a trusted family member, and as a grown woman
is still suffering from the pain of that experience.
These women desperately need help.
The purpose of this convention was to show that
Jesus came to heal the broken-hearted, and that
healing is available to all. (Luke 4:18)
Pastor James did an excellent job of ministering
healing thru the word of God. God's anointing flowed
mightily thru this meeting and several women were set
free. Praise The Lord!
When hurting women know the church will love, care
and reach out to them with open arms, they will stop
suffering in silence and receive the healing that
Jesus has so lovingly provided.
Our
praise and worship team did a wonderful job leading us right into the presence of the Lord!
We also enjoyed a lovely meal at
Stacey's Buffet.We
left spiritually and physically fed, and a good time
was had by all.
God bless all of you for attending this conference.
We at F.I.C.C. love you very much.
Your sister in Christ,
Flora Anderson
